As you may recall, I’ve recently done two extremely informative interviews with former Nike art director Tom Andrich — one about how he created the NFL’s Color Rush program, and another about how Nike worked with the NFL. In the third and final installment of our interview trilogy, Andrich tells me how he oversaw the development of the Jets’ 2019 uniform set, a project that took much longer, and entailed more false starts, than most other Nike/NFL endeavors. It’s a really fascinating case study!

These would have looked way better if they paired these with the new helmet with the jet logo. The rounded Jets font on the helmet with sharp wing lines on the unis made no sense to me.
Does the story begin with “Well, one night, when I was really drunk…”
