A Look at a Beautiful 1941 Bicycle Catalog

Back in October, Uni Watch reader Kurt Rozek generously sent me an old spiked carving board. Now he’s sent me another vintage treasure: a 1941 catalog from Columbia Bicycles.

The cover is shown above. The interior pages are filled with beautiful graphics for Columbia’s then-current line of bikes, several of which came in Uni Watch colors:

Do you have a folding bike? This catalog claims that Columbia made the first one of those, at least in the United States (recommended for “vacationists”!):

The back cover features a cool overhead view of Columbia’s factory in Westfield, Mass.:

The catalog is a visual treat from start to finish. You can see the entire thing in this slideshow:

Huge thanks to Kurt for his continued generosity and thoughtfulness!
