Cincinnati Bearcats to Unveil New Uniforms tonight

The University of Cincinnati Bearcats have announced on Twitter X that they’ll be unveiling new uniforms this evening at 6:00 pm Eastern Time.

This looks to be a big year for the Bearcats, as they switched from Under Armour to Nike/Jordan this spring. The football team will wear Nike-branded gear while hoops will sport the Jordan Brand.

The change in apparel provider also coincides with Cincinnati joining the Big XII for football this fall. Their first game is at home on September 2, 2023, against Eastern Kentucky.

I’ll have a rundown of the new football uniforms after they are unveiled later tonight.

UPDATE: The team released a video showing one new black uniform.

Hopefully they’ll follow up with photos and a full set of uniforms later this evening.

I liked those old Bearcats football uniforms. They had some personality to them. If nothing else, you could always tell which team was Cincinnati.

Stinks that Nike has the chance to ruin another brand.

Actually, Nike/Jordan had Cincinnati from the mid-1990s through 2003, I believe. The uniform template that the Bearcats have used originated with when they were with Nike the first time, and carried through the Adidas and UA years. The basketball program was one of the first schools to go Jordan Brand (1998)–Cincinnati, Georgetown, California and North Carolina.
