For the this week’s Uni Watch Premium article on Substack, I’ve ranked all 15 NHL Winter Classic uniform matchups (a fun idea suggested by Phil — thanks, buddy!). I was looking for uniforms that made for not just a good-looking game, but a good-looking Winter Classic game.

Seattle Kraken has yet to have a regular 3rd uniform in their brief history. Seattle should seriously consider keeping this uniform as the regular 3rd.
The Kraken introduced a reverse retro third for the 2022-2023 season (link). Their win-loss record in those jerseys wasn’t as great as the jerseys themselves. One wonders if that’s why the team hasn’t continued wearing them.
What was the ultimate resolution to the lawsuit about the WC uniform violating Seattle Metros trademarks? Is it still in court and the Kraken were just able to use them while the case is still be litigated?
