As great as it would have been, pretty sure Mendoza didn’t actually say that about why he chose #28.
Yes, other comments in that tweet allude to the poster making that up and for posting other inaccurate items for engagement. That item shouldn’t be included in the ticker.
Rick Fox actually did that in August of 1997 when he left the Celtics (16 Championships) and signed with the Lakers and chose #17.
The Edwards-Jefferson image is a remix of the classic Kevin Garnett-Randy Moss photo from the early 2000s

Was looking at the GUD for this week’s games. Technically, would it be “legal” for the Broncos to pair their new white lids with their blue alternate jerseys? Might not be bad with white pants.
Yes. The Broncos can wear their white helmets up to 3 times with any of the following: throwback (classic) and/or Color Rush, and/or Alternate.

They’ve worn the white shell once already and are scheduled to wear it a second time on Chrismas Eve. That leaves one additional usage available.
Since the blue jersey is designated as an “alternate,” by rule, the team can pair it with the white shell (and any decal) if they so choose.
Would be worth a look with the current helmet decals…….. Wonder if any of our savy Uni-Watch fans could mock up that uni-combo?
Here ya go:

Surely the Broncos still have white pants with the orange stripe available.
“The Bills are celebrating the 50th season of their charging buffalo logo”
It’s kinda sad that the Bills have to resort to this.
If they “really” wanted to celebrate, they could have ditched the “red combo” and gone with a throwback uniform/red helmet. Or, the original white helmet with a throwback uniform.
The East Rockaway Raiders are a youth football club team. The district’s nickname is the Rocks.
A logo that contains the word “logo.” I don’t think I’ve seen that before.
Other than for sites like this and Creamer’s, I guess.
