  • KC players and staff visited the White House yesterday to celebrate their Super Bowl win, and presented President Joe Biden with a No. 46 jersey and a signed football. Coach Andy Reid dressed up for the occasion and wore a “KC” blazer inspired by Hank Stram, the Chiefs’ original Super Bowl-winning coach.

Re the Stanley Cup finals, I notice both teams have an advertiser on their helmets, and a second, different one on their sweaters. I may have missed it, but since when are NHL teams donning two ads on their unis? Again, I may simply be late to the party here.

The jersey ad program began this season, and was announced by the NHL back in August 2021.

Teams were allowed to start tainting the helmets in 2020-21, and can desecrate the sweaters starting this season, the advertiser doesn’t have to be the same.

Thanks. Like I said, late to the party, and I hadn’t noticed the sweater desecration before for some reason.

Reggie McKenzie’s last year with the Seahawks was 1984 according to Pro Football Reference, although he may have been with the team in preseason in ’85.

(That’s not to confuse him with the other Reggie McKenzie, who was a LB for and later GM of the Raiders, as well as a player and executive for other teams, whose first year in the league was ’85.)

Would love to see Andy Reid wear that ensemble on the sidelines.
Actually, I’d like to see all NFL head coaches wearing their ‘Sunday Best’…were the last to do so Del Rio (JAX)and Nolan(SF)?

I’ve had two paw print stickers on my mailbox since 2020. I only accepted them from the post office because I figured they might work as a burgler deterrent!
