German giants Bayern Munich have revealed a stunning one-off kit to celebrate their 125th anniversary. The kit will be worn by the men’s team on March 8th against VfL Bochum and the women’s team will wear it on March 14th against Wolfsburg. Bayern’s 125th anniversary will be on February 27th.

The jersey is primarily Bayern’s traditional dark red (in fact, it looks in some photos to be nearly maroon), with gold accents. A beautifully ornate team crest, created for the occasion, is on the left breast. The sublimated design includes past club crests and design elements from each of the club’s three home stadiums from throughout its existence: the Grünwalder Stadion, the Olympiastadion, and Allianz Arena, the club’s current home since 2006. The sleeves are capped by red-and-gold cuffs. A tag at the hemline translates to “125 Years of FCB: Founded February 27th, 1900.”
The shorts are white and feature the 125th anniversary crest. The socks have “125” inscribed on them in the same style as the crest.

Upon its release earlier this week, Bayern’s online store crashed due to overwhelming traffic. I can’t say I blame Bayern fans — hell, all football fans — for wanting to get their hands on one of these as quickly as possible.
Bayern is no stranger to one-off kits — In 2013 and in each year since 2021, the club has introduced kits to celebrate Oktoberfest. This makes the 125th anniversary kit Bayern’s second commemorative uniform of the 2024-25 season. The design for the 2022 Oktoberfest kit is actually surprisingly similar to the design for the 125th anniversary kit — both are dark red with gold accents, although the 2022 Oktoberfest kit had red shorts rather than white.

The goalkeeper’s kit also features the anniversary crest, albeit the overall design is more modern than the outfield kit.
This 125th anniversary kit, however, takes the cake for their best-looking one-off kit, and in fact may be the club’s best-looking kit in some time. But what are your thoughts? More photos are below.

Correction — Bayern Munich HAS revealed . . .
Thank you.
It’s usual in English-speaking media (but not 100% consistent in the US) to refer to soccer teams as plural, even though their names usually aren’t plurals.
Yeah, I know that’s what they do in England, but we’re not England. It just sounds so dumb, and there’s no reason for it. It makes my teeth hurt.
Okay, two cents spent. Thanks for the opportunity.
Correction, YOU’RE not in England. You don’t speak for everyone.
I want to spend my money to have the privilage of being a human bilboard!!
…wait, I have Verizon, does this mean I can’t use a competitive service?
125 years of reliable wireless… wait a minute.
Woah. Those are sweet. Considering my Alma and my favorite NFL team are shades of either Garnet and Gold, or Maroon and Gold.
Diese gehen an elf.

A shame they still have the ad on there, unlike the Aston Villa 150th anniversary kit which was mercifully ad-free.
Should be worn more than once. Give the fans more of what they want. No need for a 1 time use. Just like the NY Football Giants. They should have worn their week 1 kit more than just that one game. Take the ad off and it would be much more attractive. I’d never buy one because I don’t want to be a walking ad.
Sorry, I have zero desire to walk around as a giant T-Mobile commercial. Not sure why anyone else would.
Something as big as a 125 anniversary, they couldn’t go without a sponsor? Or at least be something iconic to the region like perhaps a German auto company?
We give so much grief on this site – rightfully so – to an American team putting a small logo on a sleeve, chest, helmet. Meanwhile, these noble Europeans we love to admire with their gentler version of football have been shills for decades.
Gorgeous crest, hideous uniform. No thank you. FAIL!
the logo is Deutsche Telekom, not sure you can get more German than that
what ev. Looks like T Mobile. puke
Beautiful T Mobile emblem you’re right – these are flawless. Absolutely flawless.
I just puked in my mouth.
agree with the sentiment that the massive ads on the front of these (and other teams’ jerseys) are beyond nasty. on the other hand the crest is perfection.
Looks like someone found grandma’s curtains for the fabric.
Hopefully, Bayern Munich did not sublimate *ALL* of the past crests on the uniform.
I don’t really understand this at all. Bayern fans are constantly whining (to the point of protesting at games) about how the home kit MUST be red and white, and no other colours. Then this gets released and they crash the site???
I love this. BM should wear it for an entire year (kind of like what Barcelona does).
White shorts? The shorts absolutely, 100% should have been the gold color that matches the top. What a mistake.
