The NBA’s 74th annual All-Star Game will take place next Sunday, February 16 at 8:00 pm (ET) in San Francisco, at the home of the Golden State Warriors.
According to the NBA:
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant cultures of San Francisco and Oakland, the NBA All-Star court and the three NBA All-Star uniforms bridge the connections between Bay Area communities and feature a color palette that pays homage to the host team, the Golden State Warriors. For the eighth consecutive year, Jordan Brand will outfit the league’s stars in Sunday’s game. The court will be used across NBA All-Star events at Chase Center and Oakland Arena.
Here are the jerseys that will be worn for the ASG.

And here is the special court:

We’ll look at the three uniforms individually. I’ll include the NBA’s descriptions for all, then have some of my own thoughts at the end.
NAVY BLUE

LIGHT BLUE

Per the NBA:
Navy and Light Blue Uniforms:
• A design pattern along the side of the jersey and shorts represents the roots of Oakland’s iconic oak trees.
• The belt buckle on the shorts features an image of an oak tree.
• The vertical font on the jersey is inspired by Oakland’s theater district.
RED

Per the NBA:
Red Uniforms:
• The side pattern highlights the cable car lines that wind through San Francisco.
• The belt buckle on the shorts showcases an image of the city’s famous cable car.
• The jersey font reflects the movement of a cable car climbing over San Francisco’s hills.
Shared Features Across All Uniforms:
• The NBA All-Star 2025 star logo is prominently displayed on the right chest, incorporating bridge lines reminiscent of the Golden Gate and Bay bridges.
• “74th Annual” is featured above the black jock tag of every jersey.
The All-Star Game will have a new “mini tournament” format. The 24 NBA All-Star selections will be divided evenly into three teams and the fourth team composed of the Castrol Rising Stars champions. For the makeup of the teams, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith will serve as honorary general managers and will draft their teams tonight on TNT.
While the NBA hasn’t specifically stated, I believe the three ASG uniforms above will be worn by the three teams selected by their GMs, while the “Rising Stars” will have a different uniform. That hasn’t been announced, so it’s possible that will not be the case.
Storytelling aside, the uniforms for this year’s game are pretty good. It’s interesting the two blue jerseys follow one pattern, while the red jersey has a different one. The blues both feature “ALL” written horizontally, with “STAR” vertically. The red jerseys feature a stacked “ALL STAR” wordmark in a diagonal pattern. All three jerseys feature the ASG logo on the left side of the jersey. While all three jerseys feature a side stripe pattern that is continued on the shorts, the blue jerseys have their stripe pattern on the left side of the jersey, while the red uniforms use the right side. Shorts also have the NBA ASG logo, on the right side of the blue unforms and the left side of the red ones. The jersey numbers (at least for right now) are shown on the back of the jersey, in a block font style, outlined and with block shadow. These jerseys show NOB as “ALL STAR” below the uniform number. While not stated, it’s possible this is a place holder for actual player NOB, which will be added once teams are selected. The rear of the jerseys all feature the NBA ASG logo below the collar, where a regular NOB would be placed.
I’ll need to see the uniforms on court and in action, to render a complete opinion, but so far, I like what I see.
As far as the special court, the NBA has this to say:
• The patterns, textures and iconography incorporate elements reflective of the renowned architecture, landmarks and imagery distinct to the San Francisco Bay Area – the Golden Gate and Bay bridges, the water, cable car lines and undulating streets.
• The unique artwork aligns with an area widely regarded as the epicenter of innovation.
• The court is flooded with the Warriors’ vibrant blue and yellow color palette which, combined with the graphics, generates the dynamic energy and excitement that is synonymous with the NBA’s annual global celebration of the game’s brightest stars.
Your thoughts?
The court, and most of these type of courts, are way too visually distracting.
I agree
The court needs to come with a warning label.

I’m trying to figure out what you mean by “Storytelling aside, the uniforms for this year’s game are pretty good.”
I get that forced storytelling is a problem when a team comes out with a BFBS, Icy White, or any of a number of unnecessary uniforms, but since there are new ASG jerseys every year, what is wrong with a bit of storytelling to justify the design? Especially when the game is played in a different city each year?
These are crappy
Not clear how navy, teal and red constitute “a color palette that pays homage to the host team….”
The court does, but not the uniforms.
Very Iverson-era Sixers vibes.
I’m getting a generic basketball jersey that you might find in a little children’s clothing store vibe. The NBA should go back to East vs. West with the uniforms based on the team that regularly plays in the all star game arena. The NBA ASG hasn’t yet devolved to NFL flag football but they’re getting there.
A few weeks ago there was a leak of these same jerseys with a white one that followed the layout of the red ones, so my guess is the Rising Stars team will end up wearing those.
I like the jersey designs. The court needs to be toned down. The colors have all been in Warriors logos and uniforms so I am ok with that. I think the other uniform would be gold but I think I remember the white one too. I assume these will have the heat press fabric numbers like in swingman jerseys.
I feel pretty indifferent about the uniforms. I like that they have different designs. It makes it feel more like it’s different teams versus a scrimmage. Overall, I feel like they’re so close to being great, but just miss that mark. Still decent though.
The court is too much. As we’ve seen in the NBA Cup, the colored courts are 1. hard to look at, and 2. make it difficult to see players wearing uniforms the same color as the court, as one team will be doing in this ASG. I do like the pattern though and think it looks great on the outside of the court, and would be a nice design if stained on the wood inside the 3s.
