Holiday Wishes for the Uni-verse 2024

Good morning, Uni Watchers, and a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate, and an early Happy Kwanzaa as well!

As our leader and founder has said, however you’re spending the day, I hope it’s a good one. If you’re traveling, travel safe. If you’re working today, thanks for shouldering the load while the rest of us get to enjoy the day off. Also, I know the holidays can be stressful and/or sad for some people — if that’s you, hang in there and please accept a virtual hug of support.

Thanks to all the readers for your continued support and thanks to all the people who continue to make this website possible, including Ticker assistants Anthony Emerson and Jamie Rathjen; Weekend contributors Terry Duroncelet, Jr., Wade Heidt, Rex Henry, Dennis Bolt, Zach Wooldridge, and Derek Buchheit; web developer John Ekdahl; proofreader Jerry Wolper; and of course, Weekend Editor Jimmer Vilk.

May the holidays bring peace, love, and joy to your family this season. And may your stirrups be hung by the chimney with care!

— Phil

Before we go a few Uni Watchers wanted to pass along their holiday cheer to the readership as well.

First up are Tom Delamere and Matt Carter, who have included their take on “The Christmas Song” which is “full of uni-goodness, and we had fun putting it together in our various guises.”

Also notice in the upper right corner of the video, you’ll see the artwork of Rob Ullman, another good friend of Uni Watch.

Thanks guys!

And we conclude with a very uni-inspired “card” from Jimmy Corcoran — and that’s Jimmy’s actual Christmas tree this season.

And thank you, Jimmy!

Once again, a Merry and a Happy to all!

We’ll have one additional article today — Part II of Kary Klismet’s epic “Dressed For The Season: Christmas” — if you missed Part I, click here! We’ll be back tomorrow with more uni watching goodness, so until then…

Peace,

PH

Thanks Phil! Wishing you and the community a Happy Holidays from the “Great White North”! Well, truth be told, more of a green Christmas here in Vancouver.

Stay healthy and happy as we venture into 2025 and beyond. I plan to maintain that good health so I can stick around for a long time. I wouldn’t want to miss out on any uniform changes as time goes on! Will keep living with that vigor. The goal in mind that someday I may see the LA Kings go back to wearing Forum Blue and Gold fulltime again :).

Holiday kudos to Tom and Matt for your very sax-y and uniform collaboration of “The Christmas Song.” I hope that syncing your parts wasn’t too difficult to create, especially for those of us who love and appreciate music but can’t carry a tune on a kazoo.
And thank you to our leadership and hands-on support for another great year in our uni-verse!

Merry Christmas to everyone at Uni Watch and to all the readers of Uni Watch, Thank you Jimmy Corcoran

Merry Christmas to the entire Uni-verse!
I’ll raise a mug of Irish Cream to Paul and y’all.
    Peace
    ChrisH
