Florida State Basketball Unveils New White Jerseys for 2024 via Video

The Florida State University Seminoles will be getting three new basketball uniforms this season, and yesterday they unveiled the first jersey of the three via video. Unfortunately, the team did not provide any stills, so I’ve made a couple screen grabs to show off certain aspects of the new jersey. Let’s first start with the video:

As you were able to see from the video, the jerseys will have a new design for 2024, and feature “FSU” on the front of the jersey with the spear logo underneath it.

The FSU is in gold, outlined in garnet. Numbers are garnet outlined in gold.

If you look at the first photo posted above, you’ll note there is a garnet pattern, with very slight gold accenting (quarter moon? crescent?) on the sleeves and neckline. The teams previous uniforms featured the words “FLORIDA” and “STATE” stacked on top of and below garnet numbers. There was no sleeve or collar striping, but down the sides of both the jersey and pants was a garnet and gold “feather” pattern.

We actually got some better looks as the back of the jersey than the front. You can see the “stripe” pattern here, along with NOB (which is in garnet block lettering) and the rear uniform number, which — like the front — is in garnet outlined in gold.

Here’s another look at the jersey back and sides.

As previously mentioned, the white jersey is the first of three new uniforms the team will be unveiling. It’s assumed one of those will be garnet, but there are a few different options for the third uniform: gold, turquoise, or possibly black or anthracite.

I’m hoping the team will unveil some still photos of the white uniforms (including the pants, which were not shown in the unveil video). If that happens, I will update this article with additional photos or more information.

I get it, that this has become the “Florida State font”. It’s just not a good font.
This is a step backwards IMO. The letters are too small, the spear is unnecessary and the number font is still bad. But I like the stripe accents.
