The NFC West is comprised of the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. While none of these teams have announced any uniform changes for 2024, there’s still plenty of uni news for each team. Read on for more!
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals have no announced uniform changes for 2024.
This isn’t particularly surprising, since they debuted a new uniform set in 2023. It was widely panned, and Paul wasn’t a fan.
And by most accounts, the Cardinals actually have a relatively simple uniform set: white helmet over mono-red for home, and an all-white uniform for the road, as seen above. The team did not once mix and match the red and white jerseys with the red and white pants.
The Cardinals do have a second helmet (which is black) and an alternate black uniform. It should come as no surprise that the uniform is mono-black.
Last season, the Cardinals wore their all-black uniforms twice. As of this writing, the Cardinals have not released a uniform schedule, so it’s not known if or how often the team will trot out the mono-black kits this season.
If anyone was hoping the team might mix/match the red and white uniform elements in 2024, so far the team has played three preseason games, and worn their all-red outfits in all three games. Preseason means nothing of course, but it doesn’t portend the team switching up combos for the upcoming season.
Los Angeles Rams
The LA Rams have no announced uniform changes for 2024.
While they have only one helmet, the LA Rams have three jerseys and three sets of pants: jerseys are blue, white and “bone” (which we have affectionately termed “dishwater”) but it’s really a light gray; pants are blue, yellow and bone. In 2023, the Rams wore their blue jerseys with each of the three color pants, paired the white jerseys with the yellow and blue pants, and paired the bone jerseys solely with the bone pants.
The Rams do release a jersey schedule, but it lists only the jerseys. The pants are generally not revealed until the week of the game. Here’s what jerseys they will wear this season:
For those keeping score at home, the Rams will wear their white jerseys eight times (all road games), their blue jerseys seven times (all home games), and the bone jerseys twice (one on the road, against the Cardinals in Week 2, and one at home, against the Vikings in Week 8).
The team introduced their current set in 2020 (with the white jerseys being added in 2021), and so would be eligible for a redesign next season. To date, there have been no announcements of any new uniforms, although there was an interesting tweet posted over the summer that showed what could be a possible new uniform.
Are these a preview of the Rams’ new uniforms? Neal Johnson Jr. (current Rams UDFA) posted this photo on Instagram last night. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/HWL6hrUSgy

If this is indeed a leak, rather than an edit it is an homage to the 1965-1972 uniforms in which they stripped away the gold for the first and only time. It would also mark a departure from ‘Rams Royal’, which has been the shade of blue used since the uniform launch. The team would not confirm anything about the possible leak.
Interestingly, when the Rams first unveiled the new set in 2020, they also posted a graphic showing that new uniforms would be added in 2021 and 2022:
The team did indeed add the white jersey in 2021, but the graphic changed to show only the four looks (after adding in the new white jersey). There was no “2022” uniform added then or since.
There had been thoughts that the (since abandoned) “2022” uniform would add a yellow jersey and/or white pants, or that the team would add a modified helmet (with blue and white horns) and a new blue jersey with white pants (similar to the linked 1965-72 throwback shown above).
Could the Rams still be planning on adding a new uniform? It’s entirely possible, but it won’t be this year.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have no announced uniform changes for 2024.
In addition to the two classic looks featured above, the 49ers have two alternate uniforms, both of which are “throwbacks” to 1994 — and those 1994 uniforms themselves were supposed to be throwbacks to 1955, although neither was accurate to that year (the team had red helmets in 1955). Still, the team wore them often in the NFL’s 75th Anniversary Season, which culminated in a Super Bowl victory over the Chargers. They were quite popular with fans, and the team re-introduced the white throwback in 2018. In 2021 the team added the red throwback, and the team will wear both alternates in 2024.
The team will wear the red throwbacks twice in 2024, and the white throwback once. The red throwbacks will be worn in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys (SNF; Sunday, October 27th) and Week 17 against the Detroit Lions (MNF; Monday, December 30th). These are both home games, and both will be played in prime time. They will wear their white throwbacks on the road against the Seattle Seahawks, in Week 6 (TNF; Thursday, October 10).
There had been some talk of the 49ers possibly adding a new alternate helmet (which could be red or silver-gray, since the team has worn both of those color helmets in the past), but nothing has been announced. Of the two (red or silver-gray), the red seems more likely as they could pair it with their current throwback uniforms for a more accurate 1955 throwback.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have no announced uniform changes for 2024.
While there is nothing new for the Seahawks in 2024, they had one of the more uni-interesting seasons in history last year. The biggest story, of course, was the introduction of the first ever throwback in team history.
The team Seahawks originally planned to wear the throwback just one time, against the Browns, but it proved so popular, the team added a second throwback game mid-season. That was worn against the Cowboys.
Also last season, the team wore white uniforms at home for the first time ever! It’s hard to believe that in their entire existence, in any stadium and with any uniform set, they had not once worn white at home in a regular season game. They broke that protocol last year in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their 2013 championship season, which culminated in their Super Bowl XLVIII victory. In that Supe, the Seahawks wore white jerseys over blue pants, and they repeated that combo last year at home.
Also also: the team changed up their home uniform protocol (almost always wearing blue jerseys over blue pants in Seattle). But once again, they broke that protocol in 2023, not only wearing white at home, but paired their blue jerseys with their gray pants as well as wearing throwbacks.
Phew. Let’s see if 2024 has any more uniform surprises in store.
And that’s still not all. When the Color Rush program was introduced in 2015, the Seahawks were given an all-neon green uniform (although they did not debut it until 2016). They are one of the few teams that still wears their original CR uniform, and they broke it out again in 2023. They have worn that every season since its introduction, including last year.
There was also a rumor this past off-season that the Seahawks would have a new jersey. While it’s not happening this year, it hasn’t been completely dismissed and there exists at least a possibility it could happen next year.
While the Seahawks don’t release a jersey schedule, they have announced that they will wear the throwbacks introduced last year twice this upcoming season, including on Opening Weekend against the Broncos, and again in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s not known if the team will wear their “action” (neon) green uniforms again this season, but since they have worn them at least once every year since 2016, it’s a safe bet they will. With the throwbacks taking two of the three possible alternate uniform slots, they have one remaining and will probably don the mono-green once again.
The current Rams uniforms have good colors but I think they should dump the bone color and replace it with solid white jersey and pants. The number font on the jerseys could be updated to something more angular. The striping scheme they use for the yellow pants should be used with the white and blue pants. The Cardinals would look better with a silver helmet and silver pants as primary. The all white, all red and all black are all tired at this point. SF should dump the bland throwback and Seattle should make the throwback permanent.

Rams wear their white jersey at Home one of the 8 times
I, for one, hope the Rams don’t make a change to the uni’s shown above. I love their current set (except for the dishwater ones). The shade of blue and yellow really look great on TV. Yes, I would do away with the gradient aspects of the pants stripes and the jersey numbers. Add a set of white pants and BAM!!!!! Also, with the new helmet rule, they could bring back the Eric Dickerson era set once again as well.
“Are these a preview of the Rams’ new uniforms?”
I sure hope so…and if so, please please please use a white facemask!
I’d really love if the Cards would start mixing and matching jerseys and pants. W/R/W and W/W/R (w/ contrasting socks, of course) would be a nice change of pace.
I might even consider giving W/B/W a shot.
I’d be so disappointed if the Cards tampered one bit with that spectacular road uniform.
Agreed! I actually like the white pants and the white jerseys. But, I think the white pants would be a much better look with the red jerseys than the solid red.
Totally fair. For what it’s worth, I’m totally fine with all-white being the primary road look. I think a change-up occasionally would be fun. I think my desire for W/W/R comes mostly from the 90s-era which was my personal favorite for them.
As for the home look — I firmly believe W/R/W would be a vast improvement over full bloodclot.
Couple of things;
1. Still think the Cards white look is excellent and if they would use the white pants at home it would improve things tremendously. More importantly though the home look is continuely dragged down by Nike’s seeming insistance to make NFL teams look like college teams with hideous giant word marks (small one like the Eagles is ok, a crest like the Jags is preferred)
2. The Rams need to dump the bone and bring an all Yellow/gold jersey. Use maybe the 94′ Throwback as base. Additionally an all blue and white would be excellent, but if you want to go off the wall I might do the USC style red throwbacks from 49.
3. Niners are basically perfect, leave them alone.
4. Seahawks look good, but I might dump their the Neon and do a forest green jersey on the throwback template instead. Sort of a reverse retro look.
Agree with you on the giant wordmark issue; it screams “VARSITY!” For NFL teams, the wordmark needs to be smaller than the Dolphins’.
Man the Cardinals missed the mark when they updated their uniforms. The all white is actually pretty good, but looks like Ohio State. Why gray. If they would have exchanged the gray with yellow, it would have looked sharp. Pick up the yellow from the Cardinal beak, and add a yellow facemask. Also, have red hose instead of white, but we know how that is abused by the players.
If only the Rams would ditch the dishwater altogether and the blue pants I’d be satisfied. Cardinals would benefit from white pants at home, in my opinion. I also wish the 49ers would quit wearing white socks at any time. Seahawks are in Nike territory and have gone full Nike a long time ago. There’s no saving them.
Seahawks occasionally wear green over blue, which is a great look. They should bring that back
While the combo looks great, the Rams rarely wore the blue jerseys. In fact during the 1968, 1969 and 1970 seasons they only wore their mono white combo. Personally I like this combo. The blue and yellow reminds me 21 years (1973-1994) of failure. 14 playoff appearances, 7 NFC Championship Games, but only one Super Bowl appearance. Bring back the navy blue and white.
49er primaries are among the best in the league. The throwbacks are terrible. The uniform makes the gold helmet look way out of place, which is bad for a team named for the Gold Rush
Agree with basically the entire comm-uni-ty that the Cards would look great with white pants at home. I wouldn’t mind white-over-red once a year for fun. They should just ditch the all black.
Seahawks blue-over-gray is also superior. I don’t mind the neon once a year for fun.
