The New York Football Giants have unveiled their uniform schedule this afternoon.
We already knew the team would be debuting their new Century Red uniform, which celebrates three early seasons of Giants uniforms, during their Week 1 (September 8) game against the Minnesota Vikings. But that was all we knew.
The team has now listed the dates for the rest of their uniform schedule.
As you can see, they’ll wear their standard home uniforms eight games — one of which is a road game (September 22) at Cleveland. I don’t believe the Browns have yet unveiled their uniform schedule, but if the Giants are wearing their blue jerseys, it’s likely the Browns will be wearing their white helmet “1946” throwbacks for that game.
They’ll wear their regular road uniforms for their remaining seven road games.
Finally, they’ll wear their “Legacy” or throwback uniform once, on November 3rd, against the Washington Commanders.
What uniform won’t they be wearing? Their so-called “Color Rush” uniform, which was actually more of a fauxback to their 1980s/1990s uniform that featured “GIANTS” on the helmet, and had both red and blue striping and numbers on the jerseys and pants.
If you look at the graphic posted at the top of the page, you can also see how the Giants 100 Seasons patch looks on the uniforms.

Looks like the Cowboys will be wearing their “throwback navy” uniforms on Thanksgiving (November 28) if the Giants are wearing white at Dallas. Would be the third year in a row
The Giants’ Color Rush white is clearly superior to the “regular” white they wear. The latter has no blue whatsoever except for the helmet. And this is a team that has been called “Big Blue”.
Came to say roughly the same. Ever singe they debuted the Color Rush whites I’ve been a big proponent of replacing the “regular whites,” and making the Color Rush their main/only white uniform.
I think the all-red roads was an attempt to balance the two colors given the dominance of blue on the homes. I don’t know of any other team that has done this (soccer excepted). Do you? I like the uniqueness but also prefer their Color Rush all-whites.
The closest I can think of is the Detroit Tigers adding orange on their roads.
I’m a big fan of white-over-white for the road team, and I rather enjoy the Giants’ red set being blue -less…can’t elaborate – I just like the look.

A lot of people forget when the Giants reverted back to the NY logo and the current home uniforms, they included a road uniform with red numbers and blue trim, with no sleeve striping. A few years later they introduced their current road set as a throwback and made it permanent.
It goes without saying, their best sets are the 1980s throwback jerseys (home and road) with the current helmets and white pants
Also, I think people are really getting tired of the Nike costumes
I remember that road uniform for the first few seasons after the change from the previous uniforms and I always thought those road uniforms were much better than the ones they went with. I’ve never liked their current road uniforms.
Completely disagree on the 80s/90s blues. I don’t hate them, but I absolutely love the simplicity of their current plain blue home jerseys. I’m a really big fan of simple uniforms, simpler the better. I think the best jerseys in the whole NFL are the Raiders black/silver home jerseys. So for the Giants, I’d love to keep the home blues as is, and make those white color rush 80s/90s fauxbacks as the road unis. I think that’s the best combination of both main Giants eras (since the plain blues are throwbacks themselves).
So they make this big thing about debuting this red century throwback, and then plan to wear it once, very first game of the season, and then it goes bye bye? Dumb
They’re wearing them opening week for the teams 100th season. Makes sense to me.
I would agree, you would think for pure marketing and merchandise sales they would have worn these 2-3 times during the season to celebrate the 100.
Especially since we aren’t wearing one of our other alternates another time. If the Giants were only wearing “Century Red” once so they could also wear the Color Rush or wear the home throwback again, I’d understand, but only using 2/3 of our “available” alternate games doesn’t make much sense to me.
Two of these need to be full time
I think alt uniforms work the same as normal ones. They can’t be replaced until 5 seasons later. I think the team can choose not to wear them, but they can’t replace them until the 5 years are up and the color rush ones were eligible but not the legacy ones.
This is correct. The 5 year period for the Color Rush is up. It also means the Legacy Red will be in the rotation for the next four seasons.
Seems odd they wouldn’t wear the white at least once. Wish they’d go back to the early 2000s away jersey with the blue collar and red numbers.
The Giants 2000-2004 uniforms were solid !!!!
Bring back the gray pants!
I agree !!
Yes!
Yeah I agree with a lot of what ppl have said. I wish they made the away uniforms the color rush….those were awesome and reminded me of old times with the Giants, the good old winning times. I don’t get the red and white and no blue on the jersey. Makes no sense at all.
I’m surprised that Giants fans don’t know that the current whites are based on the road jerseys from the late 1950s, except that the gray pants were dropped a few years back.
You may not like that look, which very much seems to reflect a time when NFL teams bought road and home uniforms from different suppliers, but it’s not ahistorical.
I don’t necessarily mind the different looks that NFL teams are coming out with, but it does seem ridiculous to have these unis for 1 game only. We had this with the Packers’ white helmets being worn once, the Broncos’ blue being worn once and now these fantastic Giants fauxbacks only being worn once.
There are enough rules about what can be worn when, but I do feel like there should either be a minimum of 2 outings per uniform, or a set 2-4 week period (e.g. November which encompasses Thanksgiving) when teams break out their throwbacks. I like teams to look like they should do, but if they do honour the past than to do it as part of something bigger rather than having a different team throwing back each week – and playing against teams in more modern unis. It makes the whole thing a big mess!
Shame the Browns / Giants matchup doesn’t feature the Giants red fauxback vs the Browns white fauxback. If I was running things the only time teams would wear an alternate/throwback would be Thanksgiving weekend, which would be reserved for rivalry games.
Huge miss. While I don’t think they should replace their home, their “color rush” is so much better than their white (road).
The Giants desperately need a revamp of their road uni…at the very least, they need to go back to the gray pants. The mono-white (which I dislike across all teams) looks particularly bland and washed out with the Giants. I never liked the mono-white 80s/90s look either, but at least it had some blue in it. A team called “big blue” could sure use a a little more blue in that road uni…aside from the helmet, there’s virtually none.
I kinda dig the red throwback/fauxback as a yearly one-off…even that has a lot more blue in it.
Wish they would wear the “Legacy” more.
And bring back the gray pants, please.
I liked the switch to the “NY” unfiroms when they originally did it, but when they changed the road uniforms and got rid of the grey pants then I thought they should go back. WIthout the grey pants the ones they have now look like worse versions of their previous ones. So just follow the Jets and go back to the old uniforms full time and wear the NY ones as throwbacks every now and then.
Needs more red less blue.
One I would like is that they never stop donning the GIANTS helmet…it brings back my first memories as a kid still Learning the sport, the game and watching some GIANTS greatest take the field…LETS GO GIANTS 4EVA GAME TIME
I kinda wish they’d bring back the grey pants for the home blue jerseys. Or at least switch it up. White is a bit boring to me.
