Most of the NFL’s new uniforms for 2024 have already been unveiled. Except for one: the Jacksonville Jaguars throwbacks.
This morning, the team teased the “new” uniforms in a video, and have announced they will officially unveil the uniform this Thursday.

Close-up shots of the jersey appear to feature the Jaguars’ original colors of teal, black and gold, as well as the alternate jaguar logo they began using in their inaugural season of 1995.
The Jags have been dropping hints about their 2024 uniforms for a few months, recently showing off their 30th Season logo, and back in April, the first official news of an impending throwback.
And thanks to Antonio Brown, who earlier this year had (correctly) leaked every new uniform we’ve seen so far for the 2024 season, we now have this graphic for the Jaguars 2024 throwback jersey.
Although the Jaguars uniforms didn’t change much when first worn in 1995, the image Brown leaked appears to show a jersey first worn in 1998. It’s expected the throwback will be this version.
Although the team actually introduced the more rounded number style in 1997, those jerseys had a black side panel. The jersey leaked by Brown does not show that. Paul actually did a fascinating deep dive into the 1997 number font last November.
I — and I’m sure many of you — feel the throwback the Jaguars will unveil Thursday is one of, if not their best looks. And I am certainly looking forward to the full reveal in just two days!
Your thoughts?
Paul’s right that these were modern classics. I was the coolest kid in school when I wore my teal Mark Brunell jersey.
oh thank god they chose the white pants!
Don’t be afraid of doing it right the first time, Jags. If you could relay that message down south to the Marlins, that would be great.
Yep, when they changed their name to Miami the only uni/logo change should have been going from the F logo to this M version they already had in their arsenal.

That’s beautiful!
Hopefully, they use the crawling jaguar. That sucker was sweet!
On the jersey sleeve?
Not that this needs to be said, but they just need to go back to these or an approximate version of them. That gold makes everything pop so well.
The lack of gold is the biggest shortcoming of the present set.
Definitely my favorite version of the Jaguar logo and uniforms.
It’s disappointing how much of the good news lately is, ‘team goes back to uniform worn before they fucked it up.’ Hopefully my stupid team will make their throwback the primary by the time they’re competitive again.
Who is your team?
But yes, seems like the majority of the positive uni stories are about throwback or reverting to old designs. One of my favorite quotes about life is very fitting here; we all want progress, but sometimes the progressive person is the one who admits they are on the wrong path and turns back around.
Admit your mistake, and go back to the good unform you ditched.
I’m just an old enough Bronco fan to love the old duds. The new ones might be preferable in a vacuum to the Nike design, but why bother? Those had time plus three SB titles.
I think there’s a net positive to the world having more good designs—addition by addition—get a new uniform right. Addition by subtraction is only a thing because you put bad design in the world.
The Jaguars should have just revealed the jerseys unannounced today. Doing teasers is just going to encourage leakers to find a way to leak it before the planned reveal and then ruin it. Also, it would bring more engagement and bigger reactions if you reveal it unannounced. Point is, I would rather see the whole jersey already instead of a close-up and not have to wait for 2 days to see it.
Well, the leak by Antonio Brown several months ago kinda did that (even though all he had was the jersey design). But from that, it’s not hard to figure out the rest…
That’s true, and they could’ve just reveal the uni entirely just by the Antonio Brown leak alone.
