It turns out that the NHL isn’t the only hockey league getting a new uniform outfitter for the 2024-25 season.
The Athletic is reporting that the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has struck a new deal with longtime on-ice brand Bauer Hockey. The multi-year deal, which is the PWHL’s first league-wide kit contract, will begin next season and result in new uniform designs for all six of the league’s teams.
The PWHL, which is currently in the midst of its first season, does not yet have official team names or logos. Instead, teams are simply wearing diagonally lettered city names on their jerseys:

It is expected that full team branding will be launched as part of the league’s new deal with Bauer. No timeline has yet been announced for the unveiling of the new uniforms and team identities.
I will reiterate my idea the New York team should be called the Mermaids, owing to the color of the uniforms.
I loved the Riveters identity. Maybe it makes a comeback?
I really like the PWHL logo. Looks like an old school hockey club crest from Europe.

After seeing the list of potential names for Utah’s NHL team, I’m thinking the PWHL should stick with what they have. I think all of the good nicknames were taken a long time ago, and I like these sweaters.
