This week’s Remembership looks at United States national team designs. Members mainly chose hockey- and soccer-based designs, but fencing, sailing, cycling, gymnastics, track and field, basketball, and wrestling are all represented as well.
If I’ve left out your Team USA card, I apologize and please let me know in the comments section.
As we reflect on your time coming to a close here, Paul, I just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you. I’ll keep my membership card with pride.
I first found your work as an 11 year old (with far too unregulated internet access). I’ve faithfully read nearly every day since- occasionally commented, once in a blue moon submitted, always enjoyed. I thoroughly appreciate the community and content you’ve created. So much of my life now 20 years later is because of what this site sparked in me. I am currently a high school history teacher, but I also have college degrees in art and design and still do much on the side. I run all the branding for my husband’s Sunday league soccer team. (Go Dutch of the Buffalo District Soccer League!) I am always incorporating sports into my lessons. It all fits together.
While I don’t agree with every take you have (I’m far less of a traditionalist), I appreciate them always. You write in a thought provoking and interesting manner, you promote respect, you promote heritage, it’s been a great ride.
Thank you, Paul, and cheers to the next adventure!
McCormick’s ’94 World Cup card looks cool when you slowly scroll up or down the page. The squiggly stripes look as if they’re moving.
Those 1994 World Cup uniforms are classics!
Would Evil Knievel count for USA? If so, I’m surprised not to see a design based on him.

Another creative and nice looking batch.
