If you want the jersey that badly, dude, just go to the pro shop already. South Korea’s Seongnam Ilhwa’s Juao Soares da Mota, right, fights for the ball yesterday against Spain’s Racing Santander’ Ayoze Diaz Diaz during their 2007 Peace Cup Korea match in Seongnam, south of Seoul. — Paul

paul, i just think that diaz wanted to show you the side panels of the other guys jersey.

Pretty cool how stretchy this jersey material is these days. Back in ye olde times, there probably would’ve been a rip the size of Manhattan in that guy’s kit.

From the Houston Chronicle…new football uniforms coming for Rice:

“The Owls will sport new uniforms and helmets this season. Well, at least we can make that assumption considering the old uniforms are being sold in the Rice Stadium parking lot at the farmer’s market. We haven’t received official confirmation on this, but the Owls will be outfitted by a company represented by a swoosh.”

From yesterday. The Mastercard ad yesterday is for a new promotion. The promotion gives one lucky fan a week with his or her favorite MLB team. Hence the new cap making them a part of the team, and “more than a fan”.

Or if it were last year’s tottenham shirt. No stretch at all!

as the giants are mired deep in last place, and it’s almost time for NFL camps to open…my thoughts are shifting to the NFL. which teams are having new uni updates..is there a list?

Paul, this page would be better to post any mlb video than youtube, since it’s better quality and less likely to get pulled by MLB

Here’s one for the Uni Watch research department. My son’s hockey team next season will be wearing pinstriped jerseys, a’la the Yankees. Is there any evidence of any hockey team ever having worn pinstripes as their regular uniform in past? They are being custom made for us by a local athletic supply company.

hey guys! im coaching football this year, and ive been tasked with designing the jerseys. i seem to remember a nike site where you could design jerseys. does anyone remember what the site was? after i make them, ill be sure to post the results, and any comments and suggestions are welcome!

Providence college wore pinstriped uniforms as an alternate uniform in or around 2000. White unis with a black pinstripe – sorry dont have any pics

you can go to link to do that.

I just watched the documentary “Brooklyn Dodgers: The Ghosts of Flatbush” on HBO, and the Uni Moments overwhelmed me. Someone could spend days pulling screen grabs from this excellent show.

Why did Adidas change their logo to the stripes? I still have some old track suits and shoes with the classic trefoil logo.

Paul: it’s 2007. get the DVR already! Unlike the majority of us fans, you could legitimately claim a DVR as a business-related expense

on the player in the white jersey… are those strings above his shoulder? does he have a lace-up collar?

even though the logo teebz linked to is their current logo, they still sell apparel with the “old school” logo. They know the retro look sells

Indeed. There definitely needs to be a rule against this. Especially after last nights nice throwback and the Rockies good looking purple uniforms (yeah, everyone on here will hate that I said that.)

what do you mean? this is a really common undershirt for baseball players…. even Willie Mays had one on at at the All-Star game last week.

Just saw the tribute to MLB Hall of Famer and NY Mets announcer Ralph Kiner. Yeah, there were a few shots of Ralph in a Pirates uni.
But…
The best uni-related shot was not that of a player but of an announcer –
the incomparable Lindsey Nelson, wearing a Technicolor jacket.

Does anyone know if every NHL team excluding the sabres and ducks will be changing there jerseys?
Does anyone know if every NHL team excluding the sabres and ducks will be changing there jerseys?
Some are making small changes. Others are changing logos and designs. It all depends on what the team wants to do.

So far, Boston has made the best design changes by going with a retro look, in my opinion.

San Jose is next, Florida will unveil their jerseys in September, and the rest we’re still waiting on.

ok thanks, i agree with you on the boston uniforms, i really like the retro look!

a real pet peeve of mine are jerseys that are wrong and deliberately produced as such. now i know it’s not the most beautiful of jerseys (i have one, i know it isn’t), but to make a wrong version? ticks me right off. anyone else know of atrocities like this? (other than yankees jerseys with names on them, trust me, it irks me too)

This is an example of that. This ( link) is what they sell as the “1994 Rangers replica away jersey”, when in fact this ( link) is what it really looked like.

I dunno, that Tulsa jersey was uncomfortably close to our team’s design, and I’d never seen it before. We’re planning on using more traditional two-color block numbers but after looking at that, I don’t think it’ll be as cool as originally hoped.

It’s the “undershirt” design worn by MLB in the mid-late 1990’s and made by Majestic (Authentic Diamond Collection). It was a grey or white ribbed bottom half, and then the top half and long sleeves were a team color and the turtle neck had the team name in the team’s font. I wish I still had my Cubs (Cubby Blue and gray) and White Sox (Black and gray) that I had in HS. They were great to wear under a jersey to those cold early season games in April.
